วิธีเปลี่ยนแบตรถยนต์ด้วยตนเองในกรณีฉุกเฉิน
ขั้นตอนที่ 1 เริ่มจากเตรียมอุปกรณ์ที่ต้องใช้ ได้แก่ แบตเตอรี่ใหม่ ประแจไขเบอร์ 10-13, ผ้าสะอาด, น้ำอุ่นสะอาด, แปรงสีฟัน และถุงมือยาง
ขั้นตอนที่ 2 จอดรถให้นิ่งสนิท เช็กให้มั่นใจว่าเข้าเกียร์และดึงเบรกมือให้เรียบร้อย จากนั้นจึงเปิดกระโปรงหน้ารถ
ขั้นตอนที่ 3 ใส่ถุงมือยาง เริ่มถอดน็อตด้วยประแจจากขั้วลบก่อน โดยขันหัวน็อตขั้วลบออกทวนเข็มนาฬิกา ตามด้วยถอดน็อตที่ขั้วบวก ขันหัวน็อตขั้วบวกออกทวนเข็มนาฬิกา ห้ามถอดขั้วบวกก่อนขั้วลบ เพราะอาจเกิดไฟช็อตได้
ขั้นตอนที่ 4 นำแบตเตอรี่ใหม่ใส่เข้าไปแทนที่ ใช้ผ้าสะอาดเช็ดทำความสะอาด
ขั้นตอนที่ 5 ใส่ขั้วแบตเตอรี่ ครั้งนี้เริ่มที่การใส่น็อตที่ขั้วบวกก่อน ตามด้วยขั้วลบ โดยใช้ประแจขันขั้วให้แน่นพอตึงมือ ระวังอย่าให้ขั้วบวกสัมผัสกับขั้วลบ เพราะอาจเกิดไฟช็อตได้
ขั้นตอนที่ 6 ทำความสะอาดคราบต่าง ๆ เช่น ฝุ่นหรือคราบเกลือด้วยน้ำอุ่นและแปรงสีฟัน รวมทั้งนำผ้าสะอาดมาเช็ดทำความสะอาดอีกครั้งก็เป็นอันเสร็จเรียบร้อย
